The image dimensions a store actually posts in one table: feed posts, Reels, Stories, pins and link previews, checked against each platform's official documentation.
A store posts the same handful of images over and over: the product tile, the vertical story, the wide link preview. This table holds the current official numbers. Every row cites the platform page it was read from; nothing here comes from third-party size guides.

Instagram uploads photos at up to 1080 px wide. A photo keeps its original resolution when its width is between 320 and 1080 px and its aspect ratio is between 1.91:1 and 3:4, which at 1080 px wide means a height between 566 and 1440 px. Unsupported ratios are cropped.
Facebook's developer documentation recommends at least 1200 x 630 px at a 1.91:1 ratio, with a hard minimum of 200 x 200 px and a file size limit of 8 MB. Images smaller than 600 x 315 px render as a small thumbnail instead of a large card.
Mostly yes. A 1200 x 630 px image fits Facebook's recommendation, exceeds X's 300 x 157 minimum for the large summary card (2:1, so expect slight cropping) and meets LinkedIn's 1200 x 627 minimum at 1.91:1.
Instagram's help page recommends 420 x 654 px, a 1:1.55 ratio, as a PNG or JPG file. The cover cannot be edited after upload.
